Big Brother

I recently put in a surveillance camera to spy on the little rascal while I am at work.  Now that he is about 1 year old, I wanted to stop crating him so that he has a little bit more freedom to roam around the house, but I also wanted that comfort level of knowing that he is doing okay.  So far, I have found that he spends his time chewing on his toys, barking, and sleeping...OH, and he just so happens to find his way on the couch a lot too, which he is supposed to stay off of!  Here are some screen caps to share.

Darn, they totally barricaded MY couch.  How am I going to get on?!

How about over here?  Nope, too narrow!

How about from this side?  I can get a running start!

Ahh, finally made it!  Yaaawwwnnn.  Life is good.

A New Year: Giving Back

One of the recurring themes in my life lately has been Generosity.  Through listening to a number of inspirational sermons, ideas have been stirring within my heart on how I could give back to my community because I have been so blessed in my own life.  I wanted to start simple and keep it personal.  I wanted to touch those who give so much of themselves, but may be under appreciated, or those who may have forgotten that they are special.  So, I decided to gift Starbucks (something that I love) gift cards within a thank you card and randomly hand them out as I go about my daily life throughout the next year to those who may need a pick-me-up or whose zest for service to others and life is overwhelmingly inspiring.  Seeking these opportunities will hopefully force me to slow down and open my heart to all that is around me and encourage me to maintain a generous and grateful heart every day.
