Cherry Blossoms in Seattle

This weekend, I visited my good friend Cathy in Seattle and had a wonderful time! I first met Cathy during my 1st quarter in college. I was standing in line for Japanese fast food in the cafeteria and was craving California rolls. Being the germaphobe that I am, I was a little weary about the quality and cleanliness of the rolls. Standing in front of me in line was a girl in a green sweatshirt with a smile on her face. Naturally attracted to happy people, I gave her my best pick-up line. "Do you think the California rolls here are fresh?" She wasn't sure either, so we decided to get the rolls and share them. And so marked the beginning of our memorable friendship. We found out that we lived in the same building, she living right above me and that we had a math class together. We shared late nights cramming for midterms and finals, clothes (even though she'd hide from me when I'd catch her wearing one of my sweaters on campus), food (she's a great cook!), dorky jokes, and insightful conversations. After graduation, we lost touch for a few years, but were reconnected through Friendster (believe it or not) and quickly picked up where we left off. Thank goodness because she is definitely a friend that everyone is blessed to have in their lives. She has a way of making the people around her feel like their jokes are actually funny (okay, my corny jokes) with her infectious laugh and there's never a dull moment with her! I can't wait to see her again in June when she gets married to the man of her dreams!

Tulips are in season - so beautiful!

Just look at the scampi and lobster tails at Pike's Market - Yum!

My first time seeing cherry blossoms - love them!

At Juleps getting a mani/pedi for Cathy's bachelorette - Miss her already!
